[muh-shel bel-uhn-jer] Author, psychic vampire, and founder of House Kheperu, Michelle Belanger is an approachable, creative, and articulate woman who has blazed her own trail, leading others to a new understanding of psychic vampirism and energy manipulation. She is innovative, open-minded, and definitely knows how to “be who she is.” Her groundbreaking book The Psychic Vampire Codex: A Manual of Magick and Energy Work has not only transformed the general occult view of psychic vampirism, but has done much to shape the self-image of scores of psyvamps. It is to vampirism what the Principia Discordia was to Discordianism.
[bahy-loh-kay-shuhn] The experience of being in two places at once. Historically, this term generally refers to an individual witnessed by others to be at one location, when in truth s/he is many (often thousands of) miles away. In this blog, bilocation refers to an individual who can perceive two levels of reality at the same time, such as phasewalking or astral projecting while awake and functional on the physical plane.
[bee-nah] Hebrew The third sphere of the Qabalistic Tree of Life, also called Understanding, situated at the top of the Pillar of Severity. It emanates from Chokmah to Chesed across the Abyss. It is the first sephirah to constrain force into form, and is associated with the planet Saturn. It is feminine, associated with Shakti, the supernal womb giving birth to the creative world (Briah), receiving the quickening of Chokmah’s supernal “seed.” Binah’s Virtue is Silence and its Vice is Avarice. Its spiritual experience is the Vision of Sorrow, and it is associated with the Magister Templi grade in the Golden Dawn grading system.
[book-uhv-thuh-law] Liber AL vel Legis. The most holy book of Thelema, channeled to Aleister Crowley from an outside intelligence called Aiwass. It is the origin of the phrase, “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law,” and so introduces the Law of Thelema. Officially, one is supposed to read it and burn it, never study or discuss it, but no one ever abides by this (and if one does, one is too easily led by the nose). Recommended reading.
[bree-yah] Hebrew The second highest of the four Qabalistic worlds, the world of creation. This is the realm of archangels, and in my most familiar school of thought, consists of the spheres of Chokmah and Binah, beyond the Abyss. Other schools of thought hold it to contain the spheres Chesed, Geburah, Tiphareth, Netzach, and Hod.
[bool-shit uh-lahrm] The mental faculty that clangs loudly when one perceives a claim, story, or tale to be fabricated, or when perceiving that the storyteller is well-versed in creating elaborate personal mythologies for the purpose of impressing the reader or listener. Your friendly headspace intuition at work.
