Another Little Essay on Online Friends

I guess there's a dawn. Eventually.

A Google+ friend shared an article on Social Media, Pretend Friends, and the Lie of False Intimacy. This is a topic I’ve written on before, but it’s always interesting to have the point brought home in a new way. The recent suicide of Trey Pennington, whom I did not know, belies the assumed friendship that Continue reading →

But I was duped!

cups_0008

Over the last twenty four hours, I have seen a lot of discussions about victims, scammers and who is really at fault. It is unfortunate to say but there are dishonest people in nearly every profession and dishonest clients that seek out services as well. In the world of counselling (including therapeutic, spiritual and psychic) Continue reading →

Looking for the Light at the End of the Tunnel

For the return of Innocence.

I’ve been posting a lot of my more trivial stuff on Google+, but this post definitely doesn’t belong there. One thing I’ve noticed about social networks — they promote superficiality of a sort. Not that the posts are meaningless or pointless (well, some are), but there’s not a lot of sharing of the self in Continue reading →

Musings on the West Memphis 3

May they find true peace.

I’ve watched these guys and kept an eye on their site, regularly, since the first Paradise Lost (See all Crime & Conspiracy Documentaries), though I had heard of their case previously through the occult grapevine. I have taken an Ambien so no doubt I’ll say all sorts of inappropriate shit, but I guess that’s entertainment. Continue reading →

Introduction to the New Site

Looking out upon a world of possibilities.

Good morning, everyone, and I hope your day is off to a great start! I thought I might take this opportunity to tell you about the new site and what it means, why I elected to do it, and what you can get out of it. I apologize for not getting to this sooner, but Continue reading →

List: Weird Things I’ve Done

I've never claimed to be anything else. :)

This was inspired by a meme on LiveJournal, and some of those items have actually been co-opted. This is stuff I’ve done (and then stuff I haven’t done), and some of it is pretty unusual. Not all of them will necessarily be surprising to those familiar with this blog. Things I’ve Done Some, on several Continue reading →

In Which There’s Ow

Sometimes I feel this vulnerable.

I think I’ve developed an aversion to blogging. It’s really weird, because I have also seen more of a shift (for me, anyway) toward the social networking stuff. Google+ is like blogging, streamlined. But it’s not very personal, and my attraction to blogging was always to express myself, particularly the deeper and grittier stuff that Continue reading →

Weirdly Similar Site

Yeah, they have. But I couldn't resist this old thumbnail.

This is weird. The site is called “Infinite Possibility” (at a domain I owned once, briefly), and talks about the “multiverse” as a new model for “envisioning and creating customer value using digital technology.” If that term takes off for that definition, it’s gonna be one hell of a confusion (as if it’s not already). Continue reading →

Google+ Invitations

Shouting to the treetops...

I have a few Google+ invitations. If you’d like one, leave a comment with your gmail address. It has to be a gmail address at this time. Google isn’t offering to other domains yet. They might be offering to Yahoo mail addresses, but I’m honestly not sure.

Random Stuff, Of Late

I don't think my ship's here yet, but hopefully it's on its way.

Oh yeah! I have a blog. Okay, I didn’t really forget, but strangely enough, my life has been very encapsulated lately. I’ve been posting a bit on Google+, and a few bits here and there on Twitter. Who’d have thought it. Speaking of which, I made a new Twitter account for this site, to keep Continue reading →

22 Things Every Student of the Occult Should Know

I is be larnin' by ozmosses!

Inspired by the awesome “The 50 Things Every Graphic Design Student Should Know.” This started as a parody aimed at magicians, and became more of an homage. I give you, “The 22 Things Every Student of the Occult Should Know,” by Sheta Kaey with grateful acknowledgement to the original. I worked hard on this. I Continue reading →
