Difficulties Continue

Stressed. Out.

We had my daughter back in the emergency room last night because she has steadily gotten worse since leaving the hospital, when she was much better. Her pneumonia is gone, but the allergy situation here (pollen etc) is horrible, ranking “highest possible” every day, so her situation has been exacerbated by that. She got another round of antibiotics and some allergy meds, along with the still-going breathing treatments and the inhaler. She does not have asthma, though when she was a kid her doctor diagnosed her with it — to the scorn of doctors to follow, who scoffed when they found she has not ever had an asthma attack. She struggles with chronic bronchitis, no doubt my fault from smoking when she was very young.

In any case, I’ve been dealing with a sick and complaining adult child (she’s a very, very young 21 — emotionally she’s 15 or 16), and various other demands on my time. I am sorry for neglecting the blog and the book updates, but I promise to make it up to you as soon as I can. Don’t feel lonely — everything online has been suffering a lack of my attention since the beginning of March. Right now I have to jump in the shower and hit the pharmacy before it closes in an hour.

See you all soon.

Jeez, poor thing. Thanks for keeping us updated. I hope she gets better soon.

  2. Julie says:

null …have you thought of the idea that negative spirits are feeding off of her? Have you tried the rock salt in all four corners of her room while she is resting?
