Ouija boards are tricky. I have a theory about talking to the dead that in a lot of cases it’s friendly spirits using the shade (memories, personality, but empty of presence as the spirit has moved on) of a dead person as a means to communicate — this would give them the ability to animate that person’s memories and personality (etc) for that limited period of time. I don’t think it’s always that way, but I think a lot of the time it probably is. And mediums like that John Edward guy would be reaching similar shades in their work. It’s just a theory, though.

For some reason whenever I have used a Ouija board I get nice spirits at first–one time my brother and I even talked to Jimi Hendrix for a while–what a cool guy he is! But after the nice ones leave the dicks of the astral realm tend to come through. After a while I just quit using the Ouija board for spirit contact.
