Holy Jeepers Creepers, Batman!

Okay, I know I’m supposed to take this sort of shit for granted, but I really don’t. I’m not accustomed to big shows of physical manifestation, and they don’t occur that often. But I’m sitting here at my desk, right? And the front door is right in front of me and to my left, through the dining room. The door has windows in it, though the porch light wasn’t on. [So I'm sitting here, and]…the door rattles, like it would if someone unfamiliar with my door wanted to come in. Then it opens. I’m not expecting company, right? I say, “Hello?!?” as I’m getting up to get the door, and there’s no reply because there’s no one there. There’s no breeze whatsoever. Nothing. I am watching outside. Nada. No people either. Whiskey tango foxtrot?!

This wigs me out.

    Wow! That is pretty freaky.

  2. Soli Soli says:

I actually love when stuff like that happens. It’s very rare, but damn!

It was cool a couple of hours later, when I calmed down. lol. I know the door was shut good, too. I’d been sitting here for hours putting together the new issue (which is now live!).

      • Soli Soli says:

May be interesting, may be not: when the weirdness happens to me (disembodied voices, things seen out of the corner of my eye, stuff moving and falling) I never think in the moment that it’s odd. It’s only until a few minutes or much later that the oddity of the whole event hits me. And then I want it back to experience again. ;)

    The universe says “HI!” :)

Haha. I’d have stalked around the house with my rattan stick looking for the intruder. At least my door can’t do that, i keep it well shut all the time. :) Me, I get books that randomly fall off the bookshelf, aiming for my face. Fun stuff.

    • Sheta Kaey sheta says:

It was well shut — I’d been sitting here for hours working on the magazine. I’ve had this happen before in a different house, and weight suddenly pushing on the bed, etc. Books only fall on me in bookstores, though. He’s a dork. :P

  5. Kat says:

How cool! I haven’t had much of that happen. I probably would have freaked out, lol.
Then I would have been really stoked.

  6. Kat says:

I would have freaked out at fist, then I would have wanted to find out more, and would have torn it apart trying to figure it out…and then I would wait for more to happen, lol. I’m wierd.

Yeah. He’s pulled this sort of stunt many times, but the door thing only twice. Some of the other things were much cooler, though.
