Well, it seems that my information was in error. I found the star info on some website purporting to share celestial events, but it wasn’t an astronomy site. I wasn’t able to find squat online for “stars December 2008″ anywhere else on Google, which is just weird. Maybe it was buried on page 10. 
In any case, I was piddling around with Google Earth and discovered that Jupiter wasn’t anywhere near Venus or the moon right now. I made an image with lots of writing on it. You’ll need to click the small one to be able to read it, but it’s only a slightly larger file size.
