An Interesting Development – PeopleJam

This is not a paid post – I want to make that clear. But it is an opportunity, for you and for me. A couple of days ago, I received an email that was not strictly spam – it referred to posts on this blog and spoke to me personally, within the body of the email and not just at the beginning. So even if it started as a form letter, someone had taken the time to actually look at the blog first. :P

The writer, Angelo, invited me to become a “Featured Blogger” at PeopleJam.com, which I was unfamiliar with. I took a look at the site, and then responded to his email. He took the additional time to draft a personal response not just once, but twice. Evidently, PeopleJam is a community advice portal type thing, offering reviews of products (not for me, thanks), general advice posts (getting warmer), and personal blogs on a wide variety of topics, including spiritual and alternative spiritual subjects (now we’re talking!). I said I’d be happy to give it a shot.

The “payoff,” for me, is simply more exposure – more traffic to this journal, and more people reading my content (both there and here). For PeopleJam, obviously, the payoff is more quality content and more traffic via the links back to their site. For you, my friends, the payoff is awareness of a site that offers – and lets you rate – opinions on virtually everything. I saw content by Dr. Wayne Dyer, for instance. So they’ve got recognizable names, and they’ve got articles on business, consumer products, spirituality, relationships, and more. It’s worth a serious look (give it more than five minutes, if you want to really see what they’ve got), and I’m betting you’ll find an area or two that you like.

I’ve been asked, of course, to give you the link, so here it is:

This is the updated code leading to my first post:

Take a look around. You can find my PeopleJam blog at http://www.peoplejam.com/users/shetakaey. Feel free to leave a comment, here or there, telling me what you think. And again, I’m not making any money on this. I think it’s something worth trying. I hope it works out well for all of us. :)

ETA: I’ll provide an updated link when I have it. But take note: The content I post there is exclusive to PeopleJam, so it won’t be posted here. You might want to check it out!

Sheta Kaey About Sheta Kaey

I teach people to perceive, communicate, and work with spirits. Beyond that, I'm kinda normal.

Sometimes I write things. Sometimes I edit things. Sometimes, people even see them.

  1. I’ll be curious to see how this develops. Are you going to make an lj feed for it?

  2. @Soli: I’m not sure if I can. I’ll look into it. :) How are you doing?

  3. Right now I am just hanging in and trying to not let the bad parts of life overwhelm me. And maybe sometime this month I can blog something of substance too!

  4. @Soli: If you need to talk, I’m around — though with limited coherence lately.

  5. Thanks. Not on im much during the day now. Really it’s just a case of working through emotional stuffs and start coming out the other side. Know thyself is always an ongoing process. ;)

  6. Interesting site. Looks like there’s some whackjobs (aren’t there always?) but also some really interesting stuff. I’ll poke around some more.
