Insomnia Sux, and Other Complaints

I’m deeply and profoundly exhausted, snarling at my daughter and needing a vacation. I can’t sleep, but I am so tired I could cry. I worked almost nonstop for several days (I lost count) getting the zine together, finally wrapping up the last bit of code in the last article last night, though I went live yesterday morning without that article being finished. 25,000 words, our longest article ever by about 5x, of highly formatted, tables-heavy astrological transits. Ugh. I didn’t see it coming, and I am never taking for granted my time or submissions again. lol.
Tomorrow I have all-day appointments and I know it’s going to be hell. The morning after, I need to be up at 4 a.m. to take a pregnant foster cat to be spayed because I can’t take care of another unwanted bunch of kittens who’ll most likely never be fixed, and the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program truck fills up if you arrive any later than 5. Have I mentioned how tired I am?
Since returning from my mother’s a month ago, following the hurricane, we’ve been battling fruit flies. I’ve cleaned everything with bleach several times over, including the drains, and have kept the kitchen nearly spotless, yet we have an infestation to the point that tied-shut loaves of bread have gnats inside the wrappers… can I cry now?
I actually just stopped by to say I haven’t had time to do part 3 of my series, but I haven’t forgotten. I’ll get to it as soon as I have rested enough to think straight.
Carry on.
If you have something to say, I'd appreciate it if you commented at the blog.
